Riverdale Recap: Season 6 Finale Spoiler Proposal, Engaged

Veronica visits Archie in detention to thank him for taking the blame for the flask that was found in her locker during a routine check. He did it because he’s got nothing to lose, and Veronica has everything. He pushes her away and asks what’s wrong with her, as she’s acting strangely out of character.

Veronica came into Archie’s life before he had the chance to figure all of this out. FP is not the best father figure in the world, or he wasn’t until recently, because he seems to have turned things around. The actress’ real life is even more mysterious, but she is 29 years old and playing a teenager on the show. When it comes to love, she uploaded a picture with a guy hugging her from behind, though she did not give details. In real life, the actress is very open about dating Travis Mills, and they have been together for more than a year, often posting videos being silly on Youtube.

At the after-party, hosted by Cheryl, they played a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven. Cheryl, wanting revenge on Betty and Veronica, was keen to stir up drama by forcing Archie and Veronica to go in the closet together where they shared a kis. When they came out, Cheryl was delighted to inform them Betty had ran off upset.

Fans of Betty and Archie can rest easy knowing that the two are officially a couple. He plays the menacing Hiram Lodge on screen, but off-screen Mark Consuelos is a committed father of three kids with wife Kelly Ripa. Kelly is a huge name in her own right, hosting US daytime talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan alongside Ryan Seacrest. Tiera Skovbye, who plays Polly Cooper, got engaged to producer Jameson Parker in August 2017 and they tied the knot two years later in August 2019. She’s sweetly described Jameson as “my best friend, adventure partner, love, cook, best dog dad, red carpet buddy, inspiration, advice giver, dad joke teller and so much more”. While he’s pretty creepy as Chic, in real life actor Hart Denton is a sweetheart.

(We’re warning you now—if you haven’t seen tonight’s finale, then stop reading.) Let’s get right to it. Take a look at what each actor looks like compared to both the Riverdale and comics versions of their characters. Riverdale previously announced the show would mix up the upcoming season with a five year time jump. Now we’ve learned exclusively that this results in a few key relationship shakeups. Namely, Veronica will be married after the time jump – and no, not to Archie.

Archie and Veronica meet for the first time.

He has been there for Betty throughout all of her ups and downs, including helping her defeat Donna and Bret. Fangs is another Southside Serpent that could be a great match for Veronica. Unfortunately, Fangs has been through some hardships throughout his time on Riverdale. After the news broke that he had previously gotten together with Midge, Midge’s mom shot Fangs outside of the sheriff station.

Veronica claimed that she only went into the closet with Archie to prevent Cheryl from going in, however, while she may have gone in with the best intentions, it did not end that way. Still upset, Betty pretended to befriend Cheryl to make Veronica jealous, inviting her to the salon with the certificate Veronica had given her. Later on, Archie walked Veronica home and home and she remarked that even though she had just met Betty, she felt that they had been destined to be friends before she messing things up.

Things took a turn, however, when the characters ended up reverted back to their teen years. The only character who remembered their real lives — as opposed to their new reality in the ’50s — was Jughead . After a scandalous kiss and a seven-year time jump, Riverdale took a major leap by centering the show around Betty and Archie’s relationship. The couple initially enjoyed a casual relationship in season 5 before getting more serious. Their bond continued to grow when Archie proposed to Betty one season later before a comet was set to hit their small town. After pulling the plug on a romance with Archie, the pair revealed their infidelity to their respective partners.

Archie and the Bulldogs continue to practice despite not even having enough players to play. They are joined by Veronica and a friend of hers, T Dub, who plays for the Blued New York Goliaths. Veronica explains that they’ve known each other for years and that T Dub was one of her most loyal clients when she was selling jewelry in New York.

She is both less innocent and more driven than her book counterpart, partaking in many investigations. She also has less of a tomboy personality than traditionally portrayed. Betty, as depicted in the television series, also has a darker side referred to as “Dark Betty” in the earlier seasons. Still Archie’s next-door neighbor and childhood best friend, she dates Jughead and maintains a friendship with Veronica free from competition over Archie. Years after her breakup with Jughead and leaving Riverdale, she later decides to return to her hometown and initiates a sexual fling with Archie.

For tonight, he only wants to be with Veronica, and so they have sex. Many people thought the crossover was a joke when it was first announced, but it was surprisingly successful. Most critics cited contrasting characters as an appealing element, with Pop Matters calling the combination a “captivating storytelling device” that made for a “remarkable Punisher story and a fitting Archie story”. That sentiment was shared by Hero Illustrated and Comic Book Resources, with the latter going on to call the portrayal of Riverdale as a “bastion of innocence” that needed Punisher’s non-lethal protection “brilliant”.
